Event Details

Scrapyard-The Theatre in association with The Freedom Theater and Rhaen Basera presents RETURN TO FILASTIN -A play about resilience and hope. Originally created by Micaela Miranda  Adapted and recreated by Savan Zalariya The Israeli occupation of Palestinian land over the years has inflicted significant damage, forced displacement and human rights abuses upon Palestinians. In response to the ongoing situation in Gaza Scrapyard-The Theatre stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people. The play centers on an American-born Palestinian named Zaid who decides to visit Palestine for the first time to learn more about his heritage and explore his roots. He discovers that the reality on the ground differs from what he has seen in the news. The events he witnesses force him to confront uncomfortable truths and challenge his preconceived notions ultimately leading to a deeper understanding and a renewed sense of solidarity with his people. Zaid's character serves as a lens through which the audience experiences a journey of self-discovery and gains a deeper understanding of Palestine.  Date: 23rd August 2025 | Saturday Time: 8.30 PM Venue: Scrapyard The Theatre Paldi Ahmedabad.
